Mama
Wrote it as my main gift to my mama for her birthday. A simple poem that doesn't rhyme but let's her know how much I adore her.

From the first moment I opened my eyes, I loved you.
From the first moment I took a breath, you loved me.

I adore my Mama, like a son always does.
I love my Mama, like a daughter always will.

No words can describe how truly you are divine.
The greatest love of all, a mother's love;
as rare as straw spun into gold.
You're the angel voice that guides me along.

To the last time you open your eyes, you'll love me.
To the last time I take a breath, I'll love you.

~Eternally loved by your daughter~

Evie.

This is heartfelt and very beautifully expressed, Evie. It is wonderful to have such a relationship with your mom and your verses are a tribute and a gift for her. Thank you for sharing it. Love and best wishes, Regis

Haha, Steve. Figures you'd be commenting about my marriage first; then the actual poem. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment, its been a little while since I've been on the site. And Steve... just so you know, I think very highly of you too. *hugs*

OMG, thank you Regis! I remember when writing this poem for her and printing it out with a frame... I cried during it all. It was very hard for me to actually write this poem for her. There is so much to be said and expressed that I knew I had to make it more of a short poem... or else it'd be a book... haha. I'm glad this piece is able to touch you all, hopefully my relationship with my mama, was a blessing everyone got a chance to experience with their own mothers. Thank you again Regis.
